The Second Penang Bridge Won 2016 China Construction Project Luban Award

According to China Construction Industry Association’s Notice on Publishing List of Selected Project for 2016 China Construction Project Luban Award (Overseas Project) (Jian Xie [2016] No. 54), the Second Penang Bridge in Malaysia constructed by CHEC won 2016 China Construction Project Luban Award (Overseas Project).

The Second Penang Sea-crossing Bridge in Malaysia is the largest sea-crossing bridge in Southeast Asia and also the longest sea-crossing bridge project the Chinese enterprises constructed overseas. As the largest cooperative project between the governments of China and Malaysia and the symbol of friendship between China and Malaysia, the Second Penang Bridge Project has always attracted much attention of all sectors of society in Malaysia. The successful completion of the project greatly enhanced the brand image of the Chinese companies in Malaysia and also lays a solid foundation for the follow-up market development.

China Construction Project Luban Award, created in 1987, is the highest honor in respect of quality for construction projects in China.
