The West Africa Regional Center signed the contract for the Second Container Terminal Yard project in Cote d'Ivoire on August 3, which belongs to the Cote d 'Ivoire Terminals Company (whose shareholders are BOLLORE and APM Terminals). The project mainly comprises of the construction of a 37.5ha yard, and will include pavements, roads, water and electricity pipe network and related support facilities.
After 15 months of follow-up negotiations, the project team surmounted the adverse impact of the epidemic and successfully signed the contract. This project not only opened the spot exchange market in Cote d'Ivoire, but also consolidated CHEC’s dominant position in the hydraulic market in West Africa. In addition, it deepened cooperation with the project owners and boosted morale regional market development.
